Privacy Policy — Coloroo
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Coloroo is a colouring game made for young children. Protecting their privacy is a design choice, not a formality. This page explains what the app does with data — and, above all, what it does not do.
1. No personal data
Coloroo does not request, collect or store any personal data: no name, no email address, no phone number, no location. No account is needed to play. The app has no messaging, no social features and no in-app purchases.
2. What stays on the device
So that your child finds their progress again next time, the app stores on the device:
- completed drawings and unlocked drawings;
- the chosen language;
- the music level and whether sound effects are on;
- whether numbers or letters are shown;
- a copy of the downloaded drawings, so the game works offline.
This information never leaves the device and is removed when the app is uninstalled.
3. Connecting to our servers
The app downloads its drawings from our server. These requests carry no information about the user: they only deliver the images and their outlines.
4. Sharing a drawing
The share button on the victory screen opens your device's own share menu. The image goes to whichever app you choose, and we keep no copy of it.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
To keep the app free, it shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. Because Coloroo is made for young children, AdMob is configured strictly:
- G-rated (general audiences) content only;
- non-personalised ads: nothing based on interests or a profile;
- child-directed treatment enabled, in line with COPPA.
AdMob does nevertheless receive technical device identifiers, needed for the service to work: limiting how often the same ad is shown, and detecting click fraud. This is the only data that leaves the device. Google's handling of it is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
No banner is shown anywhere in the app, and no ad appears at launch or during colouring.
6. European users (GDPR)
Coloroo is made for young children, and a child cannot give valid consent under the GDPR. The app therefore declares all of its users as being under the age of consent, and asks for no advertising consent at all: no checkbox, no form.
The trade-off is the most protective one: since nothing is asked, nothing is assumed to be granted. Only non-personalised ads are served, everywhere and for everyone, whatever answer a user might have given.
7. Sharing information
We do not sell, rent or transfer any data to anyone. The only items passed to a third party are the technical identifiers described in section 5, passed to Google in its role as the advertising network.
8. For parents
Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing for us to delete on request: no record exists about you or your child. Uninstalling the app removes everything it had stored on the device. If you have any question, write to us.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect technical or regulatory changes. The last-updated date at the top of this page always indicates the version in force.
